Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Achievers Test Series (“we”, “us”), at achieverstestseries.com and its apps, handles your personal data. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and their rules. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Achievers Test Series is owned and operated by SVADH INFINITY PRIVATE LIMITED, Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru – 560079, Karnataka. Contact: support@achieverstestseries.com. For your personal data we are the “Data Fiduciary”.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in a scrambled, hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo from Google.
• Profile: date of birth, education, city, state, the exams you are preparing for, target year, preferred language and a profile photo, if you add them.
• Parent or guardian details: a parent's mobile number or email and their consent, for students under 18, and a parent email if you choose to send them weekly reports.
• Reviews and messages: stories or reviews you submit, questions you report, and messages you send to support.

Information created when you use Achievers

• Learning data: tests you take, your answers, scores, time per question, bookmarks, mistakes, revision items, your coach plan, goals and championship registrations.
• Purchases: orders, amounts, coupons and referral codes used. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details, only a payment reference and its status.
• Technical and security data: IP address, device and browser type, log records, and test-integrity events (for example, attempts to copy, print or screenshot test content during a test).

Information from others

• If your school, college or coaching institute adds you, they give us your name and contact details and can see your results for the tests they assign.
• If a friend refers you, we record the referral so rewards can be given.

3. How we use it

• To create your account, run your tests and show results, solutions, ranks and analysis.
• To power the Achiever's Coach: your weekly plan, mistake types, revision and suggestions.
• To send service emails and notifications: password reset codes, receipts, test reminders, championship reminders and, if you choose, weekly reports to your parent.
• To process payments, coupons and referral rewards, and keep accounting and tax records.
• To protect test content and fair play, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the service secure.
• To fix problems and improve our questions, features and teaching (using combined, de-identified statistics where possible).
• To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your data to show you third-party advertisements, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

4. What others can see

• Toppers and championship results: your first name and the first letter of your last name (for example, “Ananya R.”), your exam, score and percentile. Your photo is shown only if you switch on “Show my photo on toppers”.
• Reviews: shown on our website only if you submit them, agree to it, and our team approves them. You can ask us to remove yours at any time.
• Your parent sees a weekly summary only if you add their email and keep reports switched on.
• Your institute sees results of the tests it assigns, if you joined through an institute.

5. Who we share it with

We share only what each one needs to do its job for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• Hosting and storage providers that run our servers and databases.
• Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
• Email delivery services, to send our emails.
• Google, if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
• AI service providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Google), which help our teachers write solution notes. They receive question text only, never your name, contact details or answers. Every AI-written note is checked by our team before students see it.
• Your institute, as described above.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Some providers may store data outside India. When that happens, we make sure it is allowed under Indian law and protected with appropriate safeguards.

6. Students under 18

Students must be at least 13 years old to use Achievers. If you are under 18, you may use Achievers only with the consent of your parent or legal guardian, which we record when you sign up. For students under 18 we do not do behavioural tracking or targeted advertising. A parent or guardian can contact us at support@achieverstestseries.com to review, correct or delete their child's data, or to withdraw consent.

7. How long we keep it

• We keep your account data while your account is active.
• When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law.
• Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and company laws require (usually up to 8 years).
• Security logs are kept for a limited period, usually up to 180 days, unless needed to investigate misuse.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or complete inaccurate data (most of it you can edit yourself in your profile);
• delete your data and close your account;
• withdraw consent (this may stop some features from working);
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

Email support@achieverstestseries.com from your registered email. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and regular backups. Only staff who need your data to help you can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Cookies & browser storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you logged in, remember your cart and save simple preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser at any time; you will then need to log in again.

11. Emails & reminders

• Account and payment emails (such as password codes and receipts) are part of the service.
• Coach reminders can be switched off or paused in Coach → Plan & reminders.
• Parents can stop weekly reports using the unsubscribe link in each report.
• Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you by email or in the app if the changes are important.
